This is a Fixed Term, Salaried vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We’re looking for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our team on a fixed term 12-month basis! You’ll deliver a safe, proactive, and adaptable neighbourhood service to all customers on an allocated patch across our portfolio of homes. Building and maintaining effective working relationships to ensure our neighbourhoods are places our residents can feel proud to live in.

Job requirements

  • Provide effective and timely housing, income and neighbourhood management across our homes.
  • Work with colleagues to meet identified performance targets and service standards, including minimising the length of time properties are vacant and maximising rental income.
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues to ensure our regulatory standards and requirements are met and exceeded.
  • Develop customer-led ways of working to build safe, cohesive neighbourhoods, where people want to live.
  • Ensure all customer contact is recorded on appropriate systems.
  • Work effectively and positively with the Customer Hub to maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Develop strong partnerships within your allocated patch to benefit the customer and community. Working together with our customer hubs, Police, local authorities, and local businesses where appropriate.
  • Maximise methods for the customer voice to be heard in line with the Customer Engagement Strategy.

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree level or equivalent qualification and a CIH Level 3.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A positive can-do approach.
  • Understanding of great customer service and customer care.
  • An ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and demands.
  • Idea generation and implementation.
  • Have an understanding of the principles of Value for Money.
  • A full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
