Seasonal Gardener

The role
We have an exciting opportunity for TWO Gardeners to join our Property Team on a seasonal seven-month basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate. As a gardener you’ll help to maintain and improve gardens and ground across our homes in and around Staffordshire.
Job requirements
- Perform garden maintenance tasks like lawn mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding and litter picking.
- Other tasks included are gutter cleaning, fence and gate repairs and small-scale home repairs for our residents, and the collection of fly-tipping waste.
- You will need to use powered equipment such as brush cutters, hedge cutters, lawn mowers and leaf blowers.
- Perform landscaping works to help improve our outdoor spaces.
- You may be required to drive company vans and tow trailers to enable delivery of the service.
- Communicate with your line manager with daily phone calls, emails, and regular one-to-one meetings throughout the year.
What we’re looking for
- Someone who is experienced and skilled in the delivery of grounds maintenance.
- Ability to carry-out small-scale property repairs.
- A person who can and will work in all weathers.
- Experience and knowledge of safe working practice.
- An understanding of what great customer service is.
- A person with a positive outlook who can solve problems.
- Educated to NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn new skills and committed to continuous improvement.
- A full UK driving licence.
