Extra Care & Sheltered Housing Officer

This is a Fixed Term, Salaried vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

This person will ensure successful delivery of neighbourhood services in our sheltered and Extra Care villages, high levels of performance and delivery of the consumer standards, and ensuring our customers are safe, focusing on tenancy sustainment, support and Customer wellbeing. The role requires agility and flexibility, as the individual will work across three village locations.

 

Job requirements

  • Making sure our neighbourhood models runs smoothly every day in our Extra Care and Sheltered Villages.
  • Supporting residents to live safely, independently, and comfortably in their homes, and providing great customer service whenever they need it.
  • Carrying out risk assessments pre tenancy and in response to changing needs, including responding to complex housing support needs and giving advice and guidance.
  • Working with the Customer and Neighbourhoods Teams to regularly visit residents, check their telecare equipment, spot any changes in their needs, and refer to outside partners when needed.
  • Working with other teams and contractors to help keep buildings and facilities running smoothly.
  • Leading on new projects, partnerships, and initiatives that benefit residents and the wider community.


What we’re looking for:

  • Significant experience in delivering neighbourhood services.
  • Ideally, some experience of delivering in a supported housing environment.
  • A housing-related qualification or the willingness to work towards one as that requirement comes in.
  • Knowledge and experience of housing and the relevant legislation and regulations that apply to housing providers.
  • Experience of giving great customer service with a genuine compassion for people.
  • Be highly motivated and outcome focused, with a level of emotional resilience.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
  • A full UK driving license with the use of your own vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
