Honeycomb Group is entering an exciting new phase of its journey. Thanks to our continued financial strength and the resilience we have built over recent years, we are now in a position to grow and further strengthen our impact in the communities we serve. As we prepare to move into the growth phase of our corporate plan, we are investing in several new roles across the organisation to support our strategic ambitions. This role is one of a number of key appointments that will help drive our future success. With growth across the business —including new support and wellbeing contracts, development and regeneration activity, and ongoing service improvements — this is a great time to join Honeycomb and be part of shaping what comes next.

You’ll lead the organisation’s property portfolio, making sure homes are well maintained, sustainable, and fit for the future. You’ll develop the Asset Management and Growth Strategy, help decide where to invest, and lead work on new opportunities, property purchases, sales, and regeneration projects to improve the portfolio and support the organisation’s growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the organisation’s Asset Management Strategy, making sure our homes are sustainable, high-quality and aligned with our long-term business goals.

  • Provide expert advice to the Board and Executive Team on the performance, condition and future investment needs of our housing portfolio.

  • Identify and lead opportunities for growth, including property acquisitions, development partnerships, and regeneration projects.

  • Oversee asset data and performance insights, ensuring accurate information is used to guide investment decisions, improve homes and manage risk.

  • Lead long-term investment planning and major works programmes, managing significant budgets and delivering improvements such as energy efficiency and retrofit projects.

Who you are:

  • Degree qualified in property, surveying, construction, housing or a related discipline, with (or working towards) a relevant Level 4 housing qualification in line with Senior Housing Manager standards.

  • Professional membership of a recognised body such as RICS, CIH, CIOB or equivalent, with evidence of continued professional development.

  • Significant senior leadership experience in asset management within the social housing sector.

  • Proven experience developing and delivering asset management strategies that support long-term organisational goals.

  • Strong commercial and financial skills, including experience of long-term investment planning, financial modelling and budget management.

  • Experience managing large-scale capital investment or planned maintenance programmes, delivering value for money and high-quality outcomes.

  • A track record of identifying and delivering growth opportunities, such as acquisitions, stock transfers, regeneration or supporting development pipelines.

  • Knowledge of sustainability, retrofit and net zero programmes and Competency and Conduct Standard, with an understanding of decarbonisation pathways and energy efficiency improvements.

  • Credible and inspiring leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams, build partnerships and foster a collaborative “one team” culture.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting complex information to Boards, committees and external partners.
