As a qualified Property Surveyor (ideally with experience in social housing), you'll play a vital role in protecting and enhancing our housing stock, ensuring our homes remain compliant, well maintained and fit for the future. You'll use your technical expertise to carry out inspections, identify investment priorities and support planned improvement programmes that make a genuine difference to customers' lives.

Working as part of our Property Team, you'll help deliver high-quality, value-for-money services while living our values through a customer-focused approach, collaborative working and a commitment to excellence. What you’ll do:

  • Produce detailed reports, recommendations and compliance assessments, including HHSRS inspections and health and safety reviews.
  • Complete compliance inspections covering asbestos, fire safety, fire doors, damp and mould, legionella and lift safety.
  • Inspect and quality check works completed in empty properties, ensuring homes are ready for new customers.
  • Support the delivery of planned investment and improvement programmes across our housing portfolio.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, providing excellent service and helping to resolve complaints and disrepair matters effectively.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on repair solutions to colleagues and customers.
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Support value-for-money outcomes by following procurement and financial procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to deliver excellent outcomes for customers and communities.

Who you are:

You're a knowledgeable and customer-focused surveying professional who takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality homes. You combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and are motivated by making a positive difference for customers.

You'll bring:

  • A HND/HNC in Building or Construction (or equivalent), or a degree in Building Surveying.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in property management or surveying, ideally within social housing.
  • Experience of carrying out property inspections and assessing building conditions.
  • Strong contractor management and performance monitoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience supporting financial administration, including invoices and expenses.
  • A collaborative approach that supports colleagues and contributes positively to team success.
  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes.
